Yes, I'll see you there. You're making me lack words to tell you how much I appreciate it.

Mycroft Holmes, lacking words? That must be a first. I'm on the bus now, be seeing you shortly.

Yes, Mycroft Holmes lacking words. You're being incredibly kind to me and Sherlock. Sometimes I can even lack the appropriate way to thank someone.
And the bus? Gregory I could have sent a car for you.

I can't stand seeing suffering. Part of why I'm DI, I like stopping misery. More so when the people involved matter to me. You couldn't stop me tagging along if you tried. Well, you probably could, you being you.
I like the bus! It's nice swanning about in luxury cars sometimes but I'll always be a basic sort of man, and sometimes I like to take public transport. Keeps me grounded.

I don't think I'd stop you Greg. I may act as if I think I should, but I doubt I would want to.
Well you can keep your love of public transport if it keeps you grounded. I think I'll stick with my own automobile.

No, I don't think you would, somehow.
Oh god. Automobile? I love the way you talk, I don't reckon I could ever be sad listening to you speak. Just outside the hospital now, see you in a few.

I'll keep talking then if you like it so much. Good I'll see you upstairs.

Sherlock would appreciate it if you brought some of your unsolved case files by the hospital to discuss them with him. I can arrange the time you'd need with your supervisor if you wish.

Sure, I can bring around some stuff tomorrow. I'd come around tonight but the double murder still needs some paperwork done, though it was an easy case. Fingerprints everywhere and several previous convictions. I'd be grateful if you could arrange something with my supervisor though. Hope Sherlock and Harry are doing okay?

They're both being exceedingly difficult. Sherlock seems quite eager to have something else to think about. I think it will do him worlds of good. I will of course let the appropriate channels know letting you do this is something for their own benefit. Thank you.

No surprises there. I bet they're both nightmare patients. It's no problem, it benefits me as much as anyone to help Sherlock recover. Will see you tomorrow then, I know a few files I can bring round that will probably interest him.

Good. Thank you. Sherlock is very determined to recover fully within two weeks time. I'm doing my best to help him while making sure he isn't...disappointed should he not meet the time goal he's set. There are times I wish I were the younger brother. The responsibilities of the older sibling is...tiring at times.

Two weeks seems a bit ambitious, the state he's in. But he must be going mad stuck inside his head. Hopefully he can recover quite quickly though. If anyone can it's him. You shouldn't wish you're anything you're not. For one, imagine what a terrible older brother Sherlock would be. But also, even if it's stressful and tiring for you, you do so well at it. I can't imagine you being anything but a model older brother.

If Sherlock were the elder sibling he probably would have killed me in an experiment gone awry...all in the name of science. You're right and thank you. I try to be, much as Sherlock may at times deny it. He's making great progress already but yes, his time frame might be a bit ambitious.

Ha! You're probably lucky he's not already done away with you in an experiment. I'm constantly in awe of Mrs Hudson's long life, given that she lives with Sherlock in the flat above. And John, for that matter. Of course Sherlock denies it, he couldn't bear the thought that another person might be as terrific as him, or even better than him at certain things. I wouldn't take it personally.
