I'm stubborn, I realize that, but yes, even I'll admit I needed to sleep, loath as I am to leave my brother at the moment. I appreciate your concern.
It will be a long time until he recovers completely I fear.

Mm, stubborn is one word for it.
What would you call 'complete recovery'? Do you mean he'll be bedridden, his brain won't be working to full capacity, or...?

Mmm, perhaps I do need a forceful DI to tell me what to do once in awhile.
I don't know when he'll be able to get up and go to crime scenes, but things can be arranged should he remain bedridden. But I fear for his well being if he can't feed himself or even communicate well Greg.

Don't tempt me!
I wasn't worried about crime or anything - the force managed fine without him before, the world won't end if he doesn't turn up - I'm just worried about him. I do think of him as one of my friends, in a strange way. He'll work hard to be healthy again, though, Mycroft. Even if he can't speak properly, he'll work out some system of writing things down or something. And loads of people can't feed themselves, the brain damaged, the very elderly and so on.
I know it would hurt to see him crippled like that, but he would manage. Could get a carer, or just some of his friends to help out. He would loathe it, but if that's how it's going to be then he will just have to deal with it.
It's too soon to say though, right? He might still make a full recovery, be up and bouncing around again in no time.

Didn't think you'd need to be tempted if you had the chance to order me around.
I hope so. I can't...fix this for him. I may have to turn his hospital room into my office but I will be there for him.

Oh you'll just have to wait and see...
It's really, really sweet seeing how much you care about Sherlock. I'm sure through all his biting cynicism he really appreciates it. Can't imagine the hospital would appreciate you creating an office there, though. No, seriously though, you aren't feeling bad because you can't fix this, are you? Even you can't do everything. And I'm sure the doctors can fix this.

I live in anticipation then.
A little. I can always fix things for him, always have, but I can't fix brain damage. I think you'll find I can get the hospital to do whatever I want though. I can be there for him if I can't do anything else.

Hopefully not for too much longer.
I'm sure your being there for Sherlock is enough for him, though. Jesus... brain damage though. It's not something I can imagine ever happening to him. He has to get better.

I hope it won't be long. You've been a great support to me recently.
For someone who lives so cerebrally, I do worry about his state of mind. I'll be returning to the hospital soon.

I'm pleased I could support you. You've put so much effort into supporting your brother, you need someone there to support you, too.
Yeah, I can imagine Sherlock wouldn't cope if he was at all unable to move just how he wanted. Let me know how he's getting on. Or do you want me to come back to the hospital with you?

Mycroft
Just spoke with Doctor. Something in brain was damaged that controls temperature, or something. But he's going to be fine. He could be out in a month. So good news, I suppose. Sherlock's asleep. He's starting to move too.
Hope you're well - are you at Greg's?

Greg, I know you're busy. If you have work to do, don't feel the need to come with me. I do understand.
There is something wrong with his temperature regulation apparently. I should probably go now.

Harry, I'll be there soon. No, I went home. Fairly certain it's impolite to invite yourself over when you've not even managed a first date.

Is it? Perhaps you'll have to teach me manners.
Don't rush, he is okay.

Not that busy. It's nothing I couldn't do from the hospital if I brought my laptop.
That doesn't sound good. Will probably see you there soon, then?
