Has anyone read them? I finished the last book last week - I basically devoured them all. Took me about four-six hours of straight reading, I literally could not put them down.
Who else shares my love? I'm so lame, my sister and I have matching Mockingjay Pins!

Never heard of it until about three months ago. XD Have yet to read them. I wonder if our local library has them. It's a small town, just over two thousand people, so I don't know. I assume this is a reccomendation. XD

My sister got them on her Kindle and basically threatened to disown me unless I read them (We adore books), so I bought the first one on Amazon and read it, buying the second one halfway through that, and then the third.
They are seriously good books, they encourage such strong emotions about oppression and poverty. Comparisons to Twilight are always met with stony glares. It actually pains me that Stephanie Meyer is used as a recommendation, I feel her name is not worthy to grace the cover.

I'm rather fond of dystopian stories as well. Should give it a go, I suppose.

That's how my boyfriend did it, but then he got all surprised when the ending was - trick is to read it like one big book, and keep checking how far you have to go, or the ending catches you by surprise and you're all miserable and unsatisfied.
There's an exact science to reading these books, apparently!!

Makes sense. If it's a book I haven't yet read, I do prefer to get the PDF from any of a number of free sources--I don't have a job so any money is precious. It's what I did with Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (which I have yet to get to) and the Doctor Who novels. And a majority of Agatha Christies. The exception is thrift shops--if I find them there, they're usually no more than $5 for a hardback copy, plus bonus old book smell. XD

I get all mine from Amazon, because I am a lazy so-and-so and I've got the app on my iPhone so it takes about four minutes. All my Agatha Christie's I get from the library because I only like to read them once or twice. Which is your favourite Christie? I'd say Why Didn't They Ask Evans? and the Sittaford Mystery

I've not read that many yet, but The Big 4 is one of my favourites. And I love the twist at the endish of The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. The ending to Curtain just plain broke my heart, though. (I'm a Poirot fan...)

See I'm warming to Poirot - probably because of the French - but I could never get to grips with Miss Marple. I think it's because the version they used to air on telly over here was so tedious and old-fashioned, and now I always picture my crazy grandmother watching it.

I've watched very little. There is, however, a Marple episode (Masterpiece Mystery) I'd like to watch--Murder is Easy--though, admittedly it's only half because it's a Christean mystery. Benedict Cumberbatch guest stars.

The last time I saw Cumberbatch on telly was on an old re-run of Have I Got News For You, where he had blonde highlights that I just could not get over, because he looked so darn ridiculous. Turns out it was for Tinker Tailor, which I still haven't bloody watched! Is it any good?

If you're any good at keeping up with intricate plots (which I am), then oh my good gracious yes. Definitely in my personal top twenty films, probably top ten. Heavy on the brainwork, so you can't even start to think about multitasking. I personally found it less involved than Inception, but I have a head for Cold War lingo, so it wasn't a problem at all for me. I did have to spend the hour trip home from the cinema explaining the entire thing to my sister, though. But gads, yes, it's well worth it. Brilliant film.

Oh God I love Cold War stuff - I studied it in GCSE History and I swear it's the most useful course we did. Comes up so much in Quiz Shows. I'm pretty good with complex plots, depending on what mood I'm in. I mean, I got Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill straight away, but had to Wikipedia Inception, but only because it's SO BLOODY LONG. I nearly died of exhaustion. I'll download it and watch it when I'm actually awake and not full of 'flu. So it better be good!
