Who will and won't be watching? I know we span the Atlantic and Europe, so us Brits wouldn't want to spoil anything.
I'm racing home to catch it at 8 GMT

I'm watching it! I'm losing the ability to function, it's so close :3! It's 8.30PM though. I wish it was 8, then it would just be half an hour. Apparently we find out Lestrade's first name tonight. If it isn't Greg, I will feel so undermined. But yeah I won't spoil anything either. If any non-UKers want to watch it but can't then there's a Livestream with unlimited visitors where you can catch it, it's at www.livestream.com/paulina27 for anyone that needs it. Oh god, linking is allowed here, right? If linking is against the rules i'll feel awful but I couldn't see anything.

Well if they bring in Harriet (Was Harry in the books much? I got the set for Christmas and haven't made much of a dent yet) and she's not a delectable red head then I will sulk.
Is it half past? I thought it was on quite early last week, considering the content. We watched it in film studies as well, my teacher will say ANYTHING is postmodern just as an excuse for us to watch it!

Er no, I can't remember if he was ever officially introduced, and he drank himself to death in... I forget which one. So yeah. That's a bit awkward. He was originally male though, the female thing was just BBC. I got the whole set for Christmas too I became very antisocial for a week and basically tanked through all of them though. Yeah, half past this week. I didn't think the content was too shocking, apart from John saying '****' once, but there was quite a lot of violence I suppose. Then again, not complaining, because any later and it just means more waiting. You're so lucky! My film studies teacher never lets us watch anything, which is bizarre given the name of the class. It is a brilliantly made show though, it seems like the sort of thing a film teacher would appreciate.

If we could spend the entire lesson drooling over her Tarantino collection, we would.
I remember my Philosophy teacher using one of the Doctor Who specials - THe Waters of Mars - in class, and when our head of department came in she had to come up with some elaborate connection to the topic. It did fit, just about.
She also made us watch A Beautiful Mind to understand religious experience (how, ma'am??) and The Da Vinci Code for symbolism (We didn't even study symbolism, she just mentioned it in a powerpoint!!)

What sort of school do you go to!! Good lord that is mental. The only time we're ever allowed to watch films or tv is the last day of term, or if it's an adaption of a book we're studying. The most fun we've had this year is watching a Streetcar Named Desire in English Urgh only 25 minutes ;_; I don't know what my emotions are doing.

My teacher is awesome - our other media teacher who runs our coursework lessons is also awesome - we're all girls and he just listens to us talk about ninety miles an hour and laughs.
I am excited about tonight - I sulked about last week's becauwse Moffat winds me up by putting such needless sexist points in it; like why couldn't Irene have done it all herself? Why did Moriarty have to jump in? Gah, it didn't wind me up as much as the Christmas Dr Who - the whole reducing her to her biological function AAAHFEMINISTRANT.
Tonight's should be awesome though, because the amazing Russell Tovey (who, went to school with half the cast of TOWIE) is in it and I love his ears.

I really hate Irene (no offence to our lovely Irene here! :3) so I didn't care how sexist the show was towards her, to be honest, because I very rarely like female characters. I have this bizarre hatred of females in literature for some reason, considering I'm female though to be honest I didn't think it was sexist. I think Irene did enough by herself, I don't really think it was offensive bringing Moriarty in. What she did alone was so seriously BAMFy that I don't see why Jim shouldn't pop in. And I also disagree with the DW special being sexist sorry! We're obviously going to have to agree to disagree. Hnng so excited for Russell Tovey tonight. I love that man! And Mark Gatiss is probably my favourite writer on the show so that's always good. I can't wait to see how they do the hound, because as they've said, it's so rarely done well.

I live with a strident feminist so it's really hard to watch shows now without going "OH FFS YOU MISOGYNIST BASTARD".
The Christmas Dr Who, regardless of gender equality, was way boring. Although I love Matt Smith.

Ahaha one of my best friends is a strident feminist but it's gone the other way for me, now any time someone makes a pro-feminist comment I'm just like, sit down man no one cares, women are rubbish!
Aw I really like the christmas special! It made me cry, and I don't know, to be honest I just have this inability to be bored by Doctor Who even when I've seen it a million times.
Anyway, Hounds in just minutes, so I'm going to go now!

Also got so excited about the presence of West Country accents. I started shouting "MY PEOPLE - I HEAR YOU" at the television. I feel so at home.

I (and John) will be watching it not long after it airs--we're American so we have to download it. Regardless, we'll have seen it before the day is out, which is much faster than we watched Scandal. XD

Wait till you hear the West Country accents - I live in the same region so that is kind of how I talk haha!
I'm not paying nearly enough attention but I'll rewatch it on BBC iPlayer. I'll have to explain it to my boyfriend and Media Teacher tomorrow anyway!

OMG THIS EPISODE IS STRESSING ME OUT SO MUCH. I watched a medical drama we have in the UK called Casualty and there were THREE - count 'em THREE explosions and I swear I had palpitations. Television stresses me out SO SO MUCH.
