The phone bill must be hell.
*stares at a young couple kissing*
*to himself*
Oh, come on, he's cheating on you. It's obvious.

His body language is slightly tense as if he's hiding something. Even at this distance it's easy to tell that he's slightly nervous he'll get caught. But not the right sort of motions that show that he's feeling guilty about it. He is cheating, he just doesn't want her to find out, not because he regrets, but because he wants a girlfriend as well as his boyfriend.
I'm not saying they don't work as a couple, I'm just saying that there's a third person involved.

His boyfriend? You think he has a boyfriend? Why would you think that? I can't really follow.

Black stubble on his collar which is visible even at this distance. He and his boyfriend were, at the very least, hugging intensely not long after the boyfriend shaved. Perhaps he lives with his boyfriend. In which case, he's probably trying to hide his girlfriend's existence as well.
*blink*
*whispers*
It's Mycroft all over again.

What does Mycroft have to do with this? I'm so confused.

Mycroft at one point was cheating on his boyfriend for a woman. Somehow she missed it. Then again, Joseph missed it, too. Mycroft was most upset when I mentioned Cynthia in front of Joseph. And vice versa. But you know how sixteen-year-olds are.
*seems somewhat smug about the memory*

I don't find it terribly confusing. I wish there were more drama, as you put it. Things can be so boring. And as for Mycroft, having a brother so much older than I am put me in all sorts of amusing positions as a child. Well, amusing for me. Awkward for him.
*smiles at various memories of catching teenage Mycroft in compromising situations*

Seven years. So you can imagine why he feels a bit overprotective of me--somewhere in his mind he still sees me as the crying baby he first saw me as. Well, I say "crying". Mother says I was a very quiet infant, always observing and thinking to the exclusion of most other activities. She said she often worried because I was too busy thinking to eat. Though I was restless--apparently I fell off my changing table numerous times, and she ended up having to use one of those child leashes to tie me to Mycroft in public so I wouldn't run away.
*he obviouly resents having been physically restrained in his youth*

Awww little Sherlock. I can see you and Mycroft walking through the store. I always hated those leashes. My parents never needed those leashes. I always stayed with them. They say that I alway smiled and laughed and that I was nice to everyone.

Mycroft wasn't terribly pleased, either. Eleven years old and strapped to his younger brother...
*looks at Molly as though he is studying her, trying to imagine her as a child*
Some things never change. You were the sort of child who wore frilly dresses and those buckled white shows, I expect.
