*John, Lestrade, Molly, Irene, Sarah, and Mycroft all receive an automated phone call*
We would like to inform you of the admittance of--Sherlock--Holmes--to the Thomas Veil Institute. As his emergency contact, we feel it important to add that he is not in any physical harm. However, he has been admitted under recommendation of a police sergeant and cannot be released without the consent of a close friend or family member.

*chuckles*
Oh, Dear Lord, Sherlock... I think he may have finally snapped. ...or the police officer didn't realize he's usually this insane. Also, I'm on his emergency contact list? Really? Guess I should go check on the poor sod.
*after contemplating just leaving him there, she hails a cab to the Thomas Veil Institute and sends an email to let them know she's coming*

*a woman orderly enters Sherlock's room and smiles a very patronizing smile*
You've got a visitor, dear.

There's no need to be so patronizing. I've not become a child suddenly. Tell him to come in.
*he is assuming it's either John or Mycroft, or possibly Moriarty come to gloat*

*she just nods and leaves, as Irene comes in, smiling kindly*
Sherlock. You weren't expecting it to be at all, were you? Unless you really do think I am a man.

*blinks*
Ah. Miss Adler. Come to gloat?
*he sits back against the wall and crosses his arms*
*the nurse has made sure to supervise the situation given the specific reasons for Sherlock's current location*
"Aww, your girlfriend came to visit you. How sweet!"
*glares at her*
She's not my--why does everyone assume that anyone with whom I am associating is either my boyfriend or my girlfriend? It used to not bother me, but lately it's gotten worse. Go away, nurse. You're lowering my intelligence by being there.

I'll be fine, don't worry.
*Smiles at the nurse and she leaves hesitantly.*
Contrary to your expectation of me, Sherlock, I am not here to gloat. Simply intrigued as to how you got yourself locked up in a Mental Institution. Beat a live person with a riding crop, this time?

*sniffs with indignation*
Hardly. Sargent Donovan decided she'd read the blog entry about the sleep deprivation experiment and combined it with the witness reports from the restaurant and Bart's, not to mention her own prejudices and experience. She arrested me and brought me here because of a text Molly sent you about me wanting to burn her couch, which was taken completely out of context.
*he is clearly bitter about it*
Then, of course, they ran psychological profiling tests. On me. You can only imagine what conclusion they came to.

I've come to that conclusion a few times before, actually. No pshycological profiling needed.
*smiles*
I assume you want me to get you of here?

If they'll even allow someone who isn't my romantic attachment, flatmate, or family--why are you here, anyway?

I'm sure I will be able to get you released; hardly a challenge. And, as I said, my curiousity got the best of me. I had to come see it for myself. Although, I must admit. I am a bit surprised that I'm on your emergency contact list. Should I feel flattered? We've hardly met.

*mildly exasperated*
I've no idea why you're an emergency contact. I'm sure it's just a mix-up.
*has no particular desire to be walked out by Irene, but doesn't want to stay either. He just sits with his arms crossed, essentially throwing a mini-fit*

If you don't want my help, Sherlock, by all means I'll leave. I'm sure there's a bus load of people who'd want to help you get out of here and have the means to do so...

I'm amazed that there wasn't a busload of people trying to help get me in here.
*sighs*
I suppose you should stay. Since the nurses won't leave me alone. As it is, they've already tried to medicate me.
