Sits stoically munching through several cookies
Thanks, Molly, these are delicious. My recipient is here too, by the way. And Sherlock, don't play stupid, it doesn't suit you. You know you're the biggest Grinch around.

Knocks on the door. He'd rather be at home with a glass of brandy and the fire roaring.

I know that knock.
*sits bolt upright*
You invited my brother?
I haven't had Christmas with him since University and I hadn't planned on it.
*not sure what emotion to have; somewhere between irritation, exasperation, relief, and dread*

*rings doorbell somehow, despite the tin of cookies and the small parcel in her other hand, wrapped with care*
*enters*
Yoo-hoo! I brought some fresh gingerbread cookies. Oh, hello, Sherlock, dear. Are you going to introduce me to your friends?

Yes. Happy Christmas.
*folds his arms*
I think you already know practically everyone here in one way or another.

Oh, are we starting presents now? *hands her primly-wrapped parcel to Mycroft*I didn't know what to get you, but Sherlock said you're patriotic, so I knitted you a tea-cozy. Attachments:

He looked around the room. Seeing DI Lestrade he stopped for a second longer, barely noticeable to anyone other than his brother. He turned back to Sherlock.
Yes, don't go to too much effort Sherlock. One might think you're actually enjoying yourself.

He took the parcel from Mrs. Hudson and unwrapped it.
Did he? This is certainly...quite unique.

*raises eyebrow at Mycroft's hesitation upon seeing Lestrade but chooses to say nothing as he catches sight of Mrs. Hudson's present at which point he shifts rather uncomfortably*
Yes. I did. She had to acquire a gift for you, despite only having met you once, so I gave her some information.

*smiles warmly and passes the cookie tin around*
I'm glad you like it, dear.
I haven't done this since Carolyn's cousins moved to Colorado. I've missed it.

Mycroft gave a pointed stare back at Sherlock before smiling politely at Mrs. Hudson. He knew Sherlock noticed his preoccupation, however brief, with Lestrade but he wagered that Sherlock wouldn't mention it.
Thank you for the gift. I'm sure it will look look lovely on one of my teapots.

*I ignored basically everything that happened, as I got out my phone as soon as that door bell rang and Sherlock said it was his brother... Two of them, how 'pleasant'. I sighed softly once he entered and a mumbling woman joined... Ah, Misses Hudson. I text Sebastian, multiple times, seems he has a bit of trouble delivering my secret santa... Aw well, it is quite... Large. As soon as I'm sure Sebastian knows the details, I place my phone casually into my pocket and turn my attention back to the crowd. Smiling to put on a show for Molly.* Ah, yes... Merry christmas. *I interrupted whatever conversation they were having, since I wasn't following since the moment I heard something about knitting.*

Well. Seeing as my gift recipient is here, I may as well give it now. *smiles at Lestrade before handing over a medium sized, albeit a bit heavy, box*I thought it was better than the one Scotland Yard provided. It might serve well on long nights or early mornings. Attachments:
